The Jungle Furniture design involves the use of the abundant renewable resources around us, namely commercial Forestry. The forestry industry is a wasteful one but modern enterprises are increasingly focusing on underutilized resources within the industry in an effort to add value. Jungle Furniture occupies just such a niche. We use only purpose grown hardwoods (Eucalyptus Grandis, Panniculata, and Black Wattle). NO indigenous hardwoods at all. Our wood is treated with non-toxic Boron and Tung Oil and kiln dried. The tough coatings we use are the latest generation water based polymers with zero VOC’s.
Who is Jungle Furniture – Founders, staff members?
We are a small company of local men and women with no formal carpentry or furniture training. The company is owned by Louis van der Merwe from the renowned Hans van der Merwe & Sons bespoke furniture manufacturer in White River.
Where are we?
We are located at the Casterbridge Lifestyle Centre, Corner of Hazyview Road and Numbi Road, White River, Mpumalanga, South Africa.
